Woman shot dead in Portmore
DETECTIVES from the Portmore CIB have commenced investigations into
the gun slaying of a 24-year-old woman by gunmen at Annotto Close, Portmore
Pines, St Catherine last evening.
Dead is Cameal Manning of Patoo Avenue, Innswood Village Estate,
Spanish Town.
Police said about 7:15 pm Manning drove her car to the community to
visit relatives when she was pounced on by three gunmen. The hoodlums opened
fire, hitting her several times before escaping in the area.
She was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where she died while
being treated.
The police are appealing to anyone with information that can lead to
the arrest of the men responsible for this murder to contact the Portmore CIB at
949-8431, 949-8390, police emergency 119 numbers or the nearest police
station.
Red Dirt man gunned down
A 49-year-old man was gun down by unknown assailants at Red Dirt
district, Flankers, St James last night.
Dead is Leonard Clarke, 49, of McKenzie Drive, Flankers.
Police said about 10:00 pm residents heard explosions in the area
and called the police. On the arrival of the lawmen, Clarke?s body was seen with
gunshot wounds. The crime scene was processed and the body removed to the
morgue.

Willowdene man shot dead
THIRTY-year-old Kishawn Raymond of Johnson Pen, Spanish Town, St
Catherine was shot and killed on Toronto Drive, Willowdene, Spanish Town in St
Catherine last night.
Police said about 8:30 pm Raymond was standing in the community
conversing with a man when a motor car drove up. Occupants from the vehicle
opened fire hitting him several times before escaping.
The other man was unhurt. Raymond was taken to the Spanish Town
Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Spanish Town CIB is investigating.
